- General information on e-invoices:
- What is an e-invoice?
An e-invoice is one of the three types of invoices used in Vietnam. Instead of issuing paper invoices, e-invoices are created and stored electronically, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Bureau (based on Government Decree No. 51/2010/NĐCP dated May 14, 2010, which regulates the sale of goods and provision of services invoices).
- What is the legal validity of e-invoices?
The issued invoice has the same legal validity as a paper invoice and is accepted by the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation. Moreover, the invoice meets the requirements of e-commerce law, allowing for regular tax reporting.
